Obiectives and strategies

The library's primary objective - part of the university's development contract, 2000-2003 - is to ensure user-friendly access to relevant material and information by:
· Providing access to user-friendly online information services, and work for the development and diffusion of Denmark's Electronic Research Library.
·
Developing a model for the integration of information literacy in the learning process by means of advanced IT tools.
· Establishing a learning resource centre with PC work stations and reference literature.
·
Contributing to the development of a university portal on the Internet, based on online report forms, that gives access to the publications and achievements of researchers at Aalborg University.

Aalborg University Library (AUL) offers different types of tutorials and courses at various levels.

The library offers guided tours including a brief introduction to the collections and the library's various services to students and university staff.
