To introduce the user to databases specialised in legislation and jurisprudence: LexisNexis, Tirant on line, Aranzadi legislación,  Aranzadi comunidades autonomas (autonomous regions), Aranzadi convenios colectivos (collective agreements), Aranzadi jurisprudence, State Official Gazette in DVD, online EU databases (The Official Journal of the European Union).


2. Electronic information sources for Business: specialized databases, e-journals, electronic abstracts, gateways, business directories

Contents:

To introduce the user to the main databases specialised in accounting and fiscality (Atlas fiscal, Atlas contable, Normacef fiscal ,XPertia Contable mercantil) available through the Business Studies Library. Access to the gateways - available on the Internet - to business information.


5. Information sources for Tourism. A non-major (optional) course - 3 credits
Target group: Tourism degree students

Duration:
about 30  hours

Teaching methodology
30 hours blended learning: 22 hours classroom lessons + 8 hours teamwork (groups of 4-5 students). The teamwork consists of an information search on a topic facilitated by the course teachers.

Presentation: general and specific objectives. Planning. Evaluation methodology and systems.  Introduction: information literacy. Characteristics of information. Documentary types. Tools for information retrieval.
2. The Library of the Sevilla University (BUS). The University Library: mission and objectives. The website of the BUS. The Business Studies Library. The library catalogues. The BUS  online catalogue Fama.
3. The collective catalogues in Spain: REBIUN, CBUA, CCUC. Foreign collective catalogues:BNE, British Library, Library of Congress; the BUS Recursos-e. Access and connections. Electronic abstracts: SUMMAREV, COMPLUDOC, DIALNET.
4. Reference databases. Bibliographic databases: CSIC, SCOPUS, TESEO, PROQUEST DISSERTATIONS AND THESES, WEB OF SCIENCE. Impact factor of journals:JOURNAL CITATION REPORTS, IN-RECS.
5. Full-text databases. Databases for Economics and Business available through the BUS: ABI/INFORM, BUSINESS SOURCE PREMIER.
6. Other  databases and e-journal packages: SCIENCE DIRECT, EMERALD FULL TEXT, BLACKWELL SYNERGIE, TAYLOR AND FRANCIS.
7. Numerical and text-numerical databases: SABI. Sources of economic and financial information: EDGAR ON LINE, CNMV, LEXIS-NEXIS platform, GUIAME, WORLDSCOPE  and webpages of companies
8. Legal databases. Online official gazettes: BOE, BOJA, Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Sevilla (
