In 1998-1999 the Library participated in DEDICATE (Distance Education Information Courses with Access Through Networks) project financed by European Commission. Libraries of Chalmers, Helsinki, Linkoping, Kaunas, Torun, Riga, Sheffield, Tallin and Veszprem technological universities were partners of the project.
The main goal of the project was to gain skills in searching, evaluating and using the information in different fields of science and technology and acquiring skills to design and disseminate information literacy courses.
The librarians of KTU have prepared two modules of information literacy courses in physics and chemistry in English and Lithuanian languages during the DEDICATE project
