Online practice communities for designing and evaluating learning objects  

1 year distance Master  - 60 educational credits AY 2005-2006

Target groups: teachers, educators and trainers in public corporations and private companies

It aims at creating cooperative paths both online and in presence (blended education).
An initial seminar, an intermediate workshop and a final meeting are planned.
During the Master a project work – including a test on the field through a research-action – will be carried out.

Educational goals
The participants will acquire competencies about:

      design of multimedia materials for  interactive didactics (online and in presence);
·
      search, evaluation, recontextualisation of online educational resources;
·
      creation and management of practice communities and facilitation of collaborative/cooperative processes on the net.

1.     Learning on the Net, continuing education and lifelong learning

     Didactic planning and research-action

     Communities on the Net
4.     Information literacy for retrieving resources from the Net
5.     Learning objects and e-learning standards
6.
     Theories and techniques for the design of multimedia materials

Didactic methodology
The course consists of lectures, stages, laboratory sessions, seminars, project work, distance education, practical exercises, final test.
Practical activities: during the laboratory sessions learning objects will be created in a collaborative way. During the stage they will be tested and revised in scholastic and educational contexts.
Final test: discussion of the learning objects created and applied in the educational contexts.
