The Padua University Center for Libraries (CAB) working group for coordinating user education programs and activities prepared the following guidelines in order to:

• provide librarians with a track on the topics to be covered during user education sessions, so that the courses can be rather homogeneous;
• provide users with an useful starting point for their searches.
