Since
2002/2003 the course has been carried out at the Architecture Central
Library (the Valentino Castle).
Target group:
2nd year and 3rd year students preferably
50 hours overall:
weekly 2 days (4 hours each day)
Didactical structure:
ex cathedra lessons and application exercises.
This
optional course aims to provide students with the tools and the basic
competencies in order to locate, know, retrieve, and consult city and territory
documentation of contemporary period.
It is
divided in 2 sections:

Research about
bibliographic material (32 hours);
·
Research about
archivistic material.
Bibliographic research
Ex cathedra
lessons (10 hours):
library instruction; introduction about tools, online resources, searching ways
and strategies; a critical approach to them.
Exercises
and tests (22 hours): 3 bibliographic researches; their focus is on
the planning feature of the project. The path covered is very
important for the final assessment.
