Participation to the courses in order to acquire university didactic competencies “Baden-Württemberg Certificate” for the qualification of the collaborators.

·  Up to now unofficial, but increasingly more and more prescribed as mandatory part of the first phase of the degree (integrative Seminars)

Time cost
·  In the beginning: 1 seminar session
·  Afterwards 2 seminar sessions: presentation and practice (workshop) - 2 hours at a time
·  In the disciplines Anglistics and Germanistics ca. the 12-15 % of the disciplinary referee’s worktime is spent in training activities.

·  Top rank for the Germanistics of the Freiburg University in the current focus university ranking
The Focus University Ranking 2004 - released for the Winter Semester 2004 - has established that the Germanistics Department of the Freiburg University – alike as Anglistics one – holds the second place after München and belongs to an exclusive élite.
