Information literacy for Linguistics students – 2 SWS (2 hours)
How to find relevant information; how to competently and effectively search.

Information literacy for Economics students – 1 SWS (1 and half hours)

Information literacy for History students

·      Introduction: Databases – training for Ancient History students (2 hours)
How to use the databases for Ancient History, with practical exercises. 

·      Course: Information literacy for History students  – 2 SWS3 ECTS (2 hours)
Main issues: traditional and electronic reference materials; the main online catalogues and electronic subject databases for History. How to use vortals, subject link collections and electronic learning programs. A critical approach towards search engines. How to evaluate , process and cite search results. Electronic scientific journals. Document delivery. Technical tools: Readerprint and scanner. 

·      Seminar: Information handling 1 (key qualification)2 SWS3 ECTS (1 and half hours)
Overview about the main media used in electronic data processing for university studies. It includes: standard programs (Office pocket, image editing, open source products), and Internet applications (Homepages, html). The media library, the computer centre, the scientific facilities (professional image editing, video editing, printing technology) are presented. 

·      Course: Information handling 2  (key qualification) for advancers  2 SWS3 ECTS (2 and half hours)
It is a deepening of the course 1 and presents further features of the Office pocket, details on html. 

Information literacy for Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics students (lecture) – 1 SWS – 1 ECTS (1 and half hours) 

Information literacy for Chemistry students  (seminar) – 1 ECTS (1 and half hours)

·      Seminar: Critical thinking – How to analyse and criticise arguments 2 SWS3 ECTS (2 hours)
The seminar primary objective is to introduce participants to basic arguing and concluding techniques: the main argumentation forms, basics for proper thinking and inferring. 

·      Course: How to present scientific contents through Power Point presentations 2 SWS3 ECTS (2 hours)
How to effectively present a scientific topic in a lecture before an audience. 

·       E-learning + workshop - Online seminar: Speech and presentation skill   3 ECTS
The speech and presentation skill is a key qualification. The contents of the 12 lessons are:
What is Rhetoric? What is rhetorical communication? (1)
Find ideas – Creativity (2)
How to act and how to act while talking: different typologies (3)

Composition skill: how to report
, to describe, to argue (4-5)
Strategy skill: how to inform, to convince, to affirm (6-8)
Construction skill: text components and tectonics; linguistic design of the speech (9-10)
Performance and Media: Memoria and media use; performance, body language and articulation
