Training
at the Jyväskylä University Library
Jyväskylä
University Library (JUL) is a depository library for
Finnish publications, and a European documentation centre for EU resources. It
carries out national information services especially in education, psychology
and sport sciences.
The Library is a diverse learning environment integrating traditional and
electronic resources into a modern information environment.

scholars)

Library instruction
The JUL arranges an orientation course for international students at
the beginning of each semester including an introduction to University
Library Services.
Library instruction is given in English to foreign students and visiting
scholars on request.

and NELLI in English (0 ECTS cr.)
The JUL provides short courses (1 and half hours each) in English
on how to use JYKDOK, the Library's online catalogue, and NELLI,
the portal to databases and other electronic resources.

Effective database searching
The JUL provides training in database searching,
so that the participants can learn more about JYKDOK, NELLI, other databases
and e-journals, and update their skills.
