Flexdef – integration of DEF in the net education project Flexnet

The purpose is

1.   To increase the access to digital material supported by Denmark’s Electronic Research Library by the netbased courses at university level in Denmark. The project developed and tested a common model for inclusion of material in the e-learning applications used by the courses.

2.   To increase the amount of digital materials primarily by including course materials in an integrated web-based portal that can be used by e-learning systems.

The project developed a portal where traditional course materials and recourses from the digital library were available and searchable for the student. The course materials could be meta-taged by the lecturer. This approach was evaluated and found not to be used very much by the students.
